The Center's Vision: " Empower people with behavioral health and IDD needs to improve their lives through an accessible, integrated and comprehensive recovery oriented system of care."
I've built dozens of forms, workflows, forms, and automated processes for both our administrative and medically related business needs.
I work closely with our staff and stakeholders to build needs assessments, determine scope, and set deadlines for our projects.
I'm the primary analyst that oversees any major issues and updates in Laserfiche - our content management software that facilitates our document and records management, generate forms, workflows, and much more that helps transition the agency from paper based processes to electronic.
When an issue becomes to large or complex for our team to handle, I work with our various vendors to provide documentation and assistance to resolve the issue.
Reporting is a crucial requirement for many of the agency's business needs. Primarily using Power BI and SSRS , I work with our stakeholders to develop a useful, meaningful tools and dashboards that allows them to better understand their underlying data. One of my favorite types of work sessions involves working with the stakeholders live as we modify their report to their vision.
The agency has many websites that help serve our community. I manage many of our sites, including our publicly facing website. Knowing that many of our posts are time sensitive and some even critical to our emergency-related functions I pride myself on being able to fix a problem as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Having worked in smaller shops I was accustomed to being a jack of all trades. It took a while for me to get accustomed to working with a large agency, where people have more specialized roles.
During my time here, I've lead our documentation for our level 1 and 2 technicians to have the the resources to track, evaluate, and troubleshoot most of our day-to-day issues.
During my day-to-day operations, I oversee about 20 of our servers for the applications I manage. Many of our servers are in our DMZ environment, which sometimes brings challenges! I have worked with vendors and our infrastructure team to build out the best environments for our needs.
The Center's Vision: "We work with a network of partners to eliminate health disparities to reach our vision of Travis County becoming a model healthy community."
Working with our users, stakeholders, and vendors, I updated and maintained and administered legacy systems for medical reporting and the organization's telephony systems, including adding new features, fixing bugs, and making other improvements to the software.
I performed regular maintained such as confirming backups were in place, confirming security updates were adhered to and approved by IT Security, and testing to ensure the systems were running optimally.
As a big proponent of Power BI, I designed and established a comprehensive Power BI environment and developed detailed reports to provide real-time insights and drive data-informed decision-making.
As a Level 3 Support Specialist and primary point of contact, I utilized my technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues within tight timeframes. I also maintained effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, providing timely updates on issue resolution progress and ensuring customer satisfaction.
I also created and delivered detailed documentation to Level 1 and 2 support teams to ensure efficient and effective issue resolution processes.
I stood up and maintained the organization's servers, ensuring optimal performance, stability, and security of the IT infrastructure. Working with the Infrastructure and Security Teams, implemented and maintained a DMZ environment, providing an additional layer of security to the organization's network, and ensuring regulatory compliance and business continuity.
My main role at Choice was a front-end web developer. Using Sencha Ext-JS and Cake PHP, SQL Server and running on Apache, the main application I oversaw allowed our employees to resolve billing errors found in our customers invoices. I also worked with other members on the customer billing management application that allowed users to see their invoices. Using GitHub allowed our staff to monitor changes, forks, and updates per company guidelines.
Our applications generated reports for our customers and employees to run and oversee operations.
All of the applications were fully documented for both our customers and employees.
